Happy Windsday
FallToday has been a rather blustery day! It’s really felt like fall. This morning started out chilly and rainy, then chilly and sunny for a time, and now it’s back to chilly and rainy.
And this is exactly how my day went:
Leaf Peeping
FallIt’s almost that time of year again… While I, personally, am not all that excited about it (after Fall comes Winter), the Chickens are fans of every season. And Fall is one of their favorites since it marks the anniversary of their creation.

Mormor’s Opening Weekend
Promotion, TravelIn case you haven’t heard, Stick Chickens™ are now being sold at Mormor in Shelburne Falls! Shelburne Falls, Mass., for those of you unfamiliar with the area, is a little town on the Deerfield River and the Mohawk Trail in the foothills of the Berkshires. It is home to the Bridge of Flowers and the Glacial Pot Holes, known locally simply as “the potholes.” I was lucky enough to discover this shop on Wednesday (through Erin K. Cleary Illustration) and get my work in just in time for the opening on Saturday. It was a hectic couple of days, making sure I had everything in order, but it was all worth it and it’s very rewarding to see my Stick Chickens on display for the first time in a physical shop with an actual geographic location (as opposed to cyberspace). Unfortunately, the town suffered a lot of flood damage from Irene; however, the opening went well and was the same day as the annual Salmon Falls
Performing Poultry
PromotionSeptember is going to be a busy month. There’s a lot to look forward to and a lot to do! If all goes well, Stick Chickens will have a table at a local craft fair in October. I am just waiting for the confirmation… More news to come on that at a later date. • The IHM Choir will feature Stick Chickens on their T-Shirts this year, which they’ll wear to events like Spaghetti Suppers (and possibly a few Sunday masses) to promote the choir. The final design is not yet complete, but here are some preliminary drawings:
Hot Air Balloon
SummerI saw a hot air balloon floating over the mountains yesterday on the way to pick up prints.
Draw-er’s Block?
SummerI am experiencing a serious creativity block. So, here are some sketches of surfer Chickens.
Dueling Sand Castles
SummerI was inspired by my trip to the beach this past weekend.
